END OF YEAR PRAYER

O God of all beginnings and endings,

we praise and thank you for the gift of this school year.

It has been a time filled with grace and blessings,

with challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows.

The days have passed quickly, O Lord.

The weeks, the months, the seasons, and holidays,

the exams, vacations, and breaks

have all come from Your hand.

We pray that our efforts this past year,

will bear fruit according to Your will,

and we ask for your continued blessings on

St. Mary of Mt. Carmel School.

THANK YOU, PARENTS, FOR GIVING US THE OPPORTUNITY TO EDUCATE AND LOVE YOUR CHILDREN. IT IS TRULY OUR HONOR TO A PART OF THEIR LIVES AND YOUR LIVES.   MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE DURING THE SUMMER.

SEE YOU IN THE FALL!

ST. MARY OF MT. CARMEL STAFF

We had a wonderful day …

…on Tuesday with Nathan and Ryan Browen as our principals for the day. Thank you for all the fun! On Friday, Derek Dempsey will be our principal for the day, and he has so much planned for us to do. Just a reminder our entire final stuff happening in the 6th grade room:  Math and religion final test on Thursday, AR goal on Tuesday, graduation mass and Casey’s on Wednesday, and Lake Charlotte on Thursday. We hope you can join us for some of this fun! Have a beautiful Memorial Day holiday.

Summer is soon approaching,

and we are really winding down the school year this week and the next. This week in language arts, we are watching two movies based on the novel unit books we finished up last week. We are also doing a little work with research writing and how to avoid plagiarism.

Thank you for supporting the plant sale!

The totals will be announced next week.  The students did a fantastic job with the spring program.  The class enjoyed visiting the Todd County Museum and the Christie House.  We are very fortunate to have these historical places in our community. We are busy wrapping up work in several subjects and looking forward to the final week of school.

Time flies when you are having fun!

It’s so hard to believe that this is the last weekly report for the second graders.   To wrap up this great year, we are finishing up some projects and units in reading and math. We’re looking forward to fun days ahead and celebrating at Lake Charlotte on the last day of school. But first, tune in to KEYL on TUESDAY, MAY 27 at 8:30 for Open Mic. I am in charge of the Relay for Life and will have 12 special guests on the radio with me that morning.  Very exciting!!! In closing, it has been a great year, and I’ve been blessed to teach your children.  I can only hope I have taught them as much as they have taught me. Enjoy your summer!

I can’t believe this is our last news from the classroom!

Disappointment, but also joy fills my heart, when I think about these incredible gifts from God. Disappointment of not being with them, watching the big light bulbs go off when they have accomplished something and listening to their real and imaginative stories everyday. Most of all, I will treasure the JOY they have given me! Thanks again for the privilege to be their teacher and for all your support in this enormous year of learning. They have succeeded in so many areas and, of course, are big smarty pants! LOVE, LEARNING & LAUGHTER! That’s what it’s all about! I have included a letter for all the important dates for the last days.
