Fundraising Events

St. Mary’s School enjoys a great variety of community-orientated fundraising activities throughout the year. Each St. Mary family donates a minimum of ten hours of service per year to make each fundraiser a success. Some of our fundraising efforts include the SCRIP program, Pancake Breakfast, Christmas Cookie Sales, and a variety of raffles, but the fundraiser that is most-known in our community is our Silent Auction event. The St. Mary Silent Auction takes place off campus and is enjoyed by our families, as well as our community and the surrounding communities.

Fundraising is what helps to keep tuition costs at reasonable levels for our families. We appreciate all of our families, parishioners, alumni, community members, and friends of St. Mary School for their support! God bless you!

April 27: Murder Mystery Live Show & Dinner at the Hub Supper Club

After 37 years of Dinner Auctions, the Fundraising Committee chose a new direction for our major fundraiser of the year. We are excited to bring a professional acting troupe, The Murder Mystery Company, to the Hub to perform “Midnight at the Masquerade,” two hours of entertainment, great food, and putting your head together with your table mates to solve the mystery, all in support of St. Mary’s School. If you’ve never been to a live murder mystery show, you’re in for a treat! With twelve suspects chosen from the audience, the rest of the attendees become amateur detectives as actors uncover clues in the crime scene, and you unravel the mystery of “Whodunit.” Awards are given for successful sleuthing!

We realize at this point you might be wondering, “What about the auction?” There will not be a live auction this year, and our online auction will only have the classroom projects. Yes, we know! This is a break with tradition, always a hard thing to do! But after much thought and discussion, the Fundraising Committee agreed that it was time to try something new. For those of you who have so generously contributed to our auction in the past with homemade crafts and furniture, services, and store-bought items, thank you! If you are willing and able to make a monetary contribution toward the event instead, it would be very much appreciated. And we certainly hope you will purchase a ticket to attend on the 27th. The 50 Blessings Raffle combined with the live Murder Mystery Show & Dinner is intended to replace the money we raised annually at the spring Dinner Auction. So, Sleuths unite! We’ll come together for a fun evening and solve the case, all to support the children, staff, and programs of St. Mary’s School!

More Ways to Earn

Our Church campus has many needs, like any parish of the same age. Improvements and upgrades to our buildings and campus are part of our mission because parish life takes place in them.

Thank you so much for your past contributions which have helped maintain our precious buildings and campus! Now we have been given the opportunity to invest in a journey of faith for this and future generations.

What ignited this campaign? A former parishioner who graduated from our school has offered a matching grant of $800,000 of which $100,000 has already been received. As your pastor, I see this generous gift as a sign from God that I cannot ignore. I don’t want to be an obstacle to God’s plans for our parish; on the contrary, I want to do my small part the best I can.

Today, I want to ask for your support in this endeavor of love, hope, and faith. Our commitment and sacrificial giving will bring new blessings to others as we make much needed improvements to our buildings and campus in which future generations will encounter Jesus, and all of us can encounter each other as we live our lives as parishioners, friends, and followers of Christ. We need everyone’s help. Your gift of any amount is much appreciated.
