CATHOLIC SCHOOLS’ WEEK
JANUARY 31, 2010 – FEBRUARY 6, 2010
What an exciting week we once again have planned for Catholic Schools’ Week. Catholic Schools’ Week will begin on Sunday, January 31, 2010, and will continue through Saturday, February 6, 2010.
The following is a list of activities for the week:
SUNDAY, January 31, 2010: PARISH APPRECIATION
MASS St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Family Mass – 10:30 A.M.
(ALL FAMILIES INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND)
Brunch 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M
Menu: Scrambled eggs, pork links, hash browns, homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee, and milk.
Scholastic Book Fair 9:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.
Family Bingo in church hall 1:15 P.M. – 2:15 P.M.
Snacks 2:15 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
MONDAY, February 1, 2010: FAMILY APPRECIATION
Dress Day: Mismatch Day
Hobby/Talent Mini Lessons Morning
Family Night We will be sending home hot chocolate for each member of your family and encourage families to spend time together at home during the evening. Watch a fun movie, pray together, play a game, and etc.
TUESDAY, February 2, 2010: STAFF APPRECIATION
Dress Day: P.J. Day (Reading Day)
Teacher Luncheon 11:15 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.
This is a day to say thank you to all our teachers and staff for all the hard work that they do to help your children grow in knowledge and holiness. Staff will not have recess duty. Lunch will be provided by St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Faith and Education Council.
Guest Readers Morning
WEDNESDAY, February 3, 2010: VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION
This is a day to thank all our volunteers for all their hard work, support, and generosity. Without them, our school would not run so smoothly.
Dress Day: Dress-up Day
Mass 8:30 A.M.
Volunteer Luncheon Following mass - 9:15 A.M.
Scholastic Book Fair 9:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.
THURSDAY, February 4, 2010 BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL APPRECIATION
This is a day to thank the businesses/professionals that support our community and school.
Dress Day: Sports Day
Business Breakfast 7:30 A.M. – 9:30 A.M.
FRIDAY, February 5, 2010 STUDENT APPRECIATION
Dress Day: Beach Day
ARROWWOOD 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
