Hi!  I'm Sandy Johnson, and I love teaching in this awesome school of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel.  Not because it's my hometown, but I love JESUS and KIDS!  I started this teaching journey graduating from Long Prairie High School, then on to Brainerd Community College in the Early Childhood Program, and finished at St. Cloud State University with a BS degree in education.  I have been teaching for twenty-six years.  My last twenty-three years here at St. Mary's have been filled with many amazing people.  I have worked with some of the most professional and caring co-workers in the world, many who have helped me become the teacher that I am today.  My years of teaching have include 1st and 2nd grade combination, 5th grade, kindergarten, and now I am in the 13th year of 1st grade.  ALL of these kids, parents, and educators have shared and taught me many important lessons and really make me smile.  I love and thank each of of them!

In the time that I don't spend at school, my life is fillled with two wonderful guys, my husband Mark and son Chance.  We live in Clarissa with our little Black Lab, and she keeps us very active with walks, retrieving her ball, swimming, relaxing, and especiallly hunting.  As a family, we like to be with friends, go to movies, read, fish, and just spend time together.

I have truly been blessed by God!
