Hello. My name is Susan Roe. I graduated from Luther College with a BA in English Education. I also have a minor in French and a concentration in music. Music was the first thing that brought me to St. Mary’s when I began teaching here as a part-time music teacher. Since then, I have added sixth and fifth grade language arts to my teaching schedule. In all honesty, every day I enjoy coming to work at St. Mary’s. How many people can say that about their job?! The students, the staff and Christian atmosphere, as well as my teaching assignments, all account for the joy and blessing of being a part of the St. Mary’s family.
My husband Loren and I live on a farm outside of Grey Eagle with our two younger daughters, Erin (a senior in high school) and Lesley (a sophomore in high school). Our oldest daughter, Karina, is a missionary teacher in the Czech Republic. In addition to teaching, I enjoy going to coffee shops, sporting events and concerts, and the Czech Republic (among other places!). Other interests that I have include playing piano, reading, traveling (especially with family) and playing all sorts of games. And did anyone mention chocolate?
