A Valentine Prayer I asked Him for sincere love I prayed for love from family |
Grade 1 God’s law is our way to love! Blessed are those who follow the law of the Lord! Our Creation posters were awesome and so were there mini-poster evaluations. Thanks for all your creative studying. Gavin is our dynamic and knowledgeable Jesus’ Super Star! We had an amazing 100th Day Party today! Everything the 100th way was FUN – to the 100th degree! Thursday will bring the opportunity to write a heart-filled letter, address an envelope, take a trip to the post office, buy a stamp and mail a secret Valentine to a loved one. On Love Day, we’ll be sharing our love for the elderly by creating and delivering Valentine’s to the Nursing Home. Please join us on Friday from 1:45 P.M. – 2:30 P.M. We will be riding the bus to the Nursing Home right from phy. ed. You can meet us at the Nursing Home. Jesus’ Love and Peace! |
Grade 2 Things don’t get much more exciting in second grade than they do this week! We have two celebrations! We will be playing games and doing activities in honor of the 100th Day of School on Wednesday and Valentine’s Day on Friday! We are also SOO excited to be welcoming a new student to our class next week! We are editing the papers the students wrote about what animals do in the winter. In science, the first and second graders are finishing the unit on constellations. Have a fabulous long weekend! |
Grade 3 “We gather for Mass” is this week’s focus during our religion class. We continue to learn the different parts of the Apostle’s Creed. Thank you to parents for helping out with this. We will be taking a quiz on the Oregon Trail, and we find it very interesting to read a diary back in that time period and what the pioneers endured. Party on Friday and president reports to begin – watch for these things! |
Grade 4 The class did a wonderful job of reading and singing at mass! They are researching a president this week and learning some interesting facts. We are putting our imaginations to work by writing a short “amazing” story. The students are using their multiplying skills to do even bigger numbers. The methods we are using in the classroom may be different from the way you learned to multiply, so I will send home a sheet that shows our method. Happy Valentine’s Day! |
Grade 5 This week in fifth and sixth grade language arts, we are learning about expository essays. We are specifically focusing on “how to” expository essays. In this type of essay, the students get to teach and explain some activity they know how to do such as dribble a basketball, bake a cake and etc. Some components of this type of essay are including detailed steps, transition words (then, next, finally) and explaining a process so that anyone would be able to do it. |
Grade 6 Happy Valentine’s Day. We hope your day is filled with love. The sixth graders will be having a Valentine’s Day party on Friday afternoon. They are welcome to bring a Valentine for all of their friends. We are starting our unit in science on Properties and Structures of Matter. Our math unit will focus on Probability and Discrete Mathematics. We continue to learn so much about our Bible in religion class. Have a beautiful week, and I hope to see you at “Denim and Diamonds” on Friday night. |
